& Important Information
Yes! Most of the course is about refining your own practice and understanding of Qigong, so you will get a lot out of it for just yourself.
In Boise, Idaho, in Nick's new house, about 10 minutes from the Boise Airport. Nick and Charity just bought a spacious, beautiful home, and can't wait to share it with you! Nick is creating a tea room and a Qigong Dojo, and has plenty of space for both to host a dozen or more people.
Yes, you will need to get a hotel or Airbnb nearby. We will send you the address upon signup. We will also have a private Whatsapp group, and can help you find other participants who want to share an Airbnb, if you'd like to save money or would be more comfortable that way.
Idaho is the third safest state in America, and has very little violent crime or theft. Boise is the biggest city in Idaho, and has a beautiful city center with lots of restaurants, museums, cafe's, etc. About 30 minutes drive from downtown is an epic yet affordable ski hill called Bogus Basin, which is part of the snowy mountains overlooking Boise. You can snowshoe in the alpine forest, ski, or go tubing there. There are also abundant hot springs, both wild and developed, throughout Idaho that we can give you information on upon request. We will organize a group trip to one of our favorite hot springs at the end of the course if participants are interested.
The course will be held Monday through Saturday, January 20 - 25. Classes each day will begin at 9am and go until 5pm. There will be a lunch break each day from 12:30 to 1:30.
Lunch is provided each day. We will be catering buffet style lunches with organic, natural foods. Let us know your food preferences or restrictions by email after signing up so we can make sure we have plenty of options for you :) We will also be providing fine teas, coffees, espresso, and snacks throughout the day.
There are currently no government regulations on teaching Qigong in the US. Residents of others countries should check local laws, but we have come across no issues with this among international graduates. We do provide our own "Nick Loffree Qigong Level 1 Instructor" certificate, which you can provide to Studios or Gyms alongside your resume, or to private liability insurance companies. We have found Namasta.com to be helpful for insurance in the US. If you are already insured for Yoga, Massage, Acupuncture, etc, you can contact your insurer to add Qigong as a modality.
We won't be offering refunds for this course. However, we can offer a full credit towards a future program if requested no less than 30 days before the course start date.
You will have access to all the same online materials that are provided in my usual online course, so that you can study and practice after the course. Leading up to the course, we have a list of recommended books to read, as well as a few preliminary practices to start on in the online portal. If you already bought the online Fall 2024 Teacher Training, and want to upgrade to this in-person course, email us at [email protected] to set that up. If you have already taken the online teacher training, you are welcome to attend, but just know that much of the material taught will be redundant for you.
