Bali 2027 | Qigong & Wellness Retreat

February 1 - 7, 2027 (1 Room Left)

7 days of Qigong, meditation, ocean air, private-chef meals, and deep restoration on Bali’s peaceful east coast.

Join Nick Loffree for an intimate week of deep practice and spacious living in a private oceanfront villa in Bali. Each full retreat day will include a long morning and afternoon Qigong and meditation session, with plenty of time between practices to swim, rest, receive a massage, work out, explore the island, or simply enjoy the sea. Our home for the week is a seven-bedroom villa with an infinity pool overlooking the ocean, tropical gardens, open-air gathering spaces, a private gym, and a dedicated staff. A private chef will prepare nourishing meals for us throughout the retreat, allowing the group to settle into a simple rhythm of practice, food, rest, and connection. This gathering will be smaller and more intimate than most of Nick’s retreats, which means more personal space, more time together, and a limited number of places. It is a week for practicing deeply, slowing down completely, and returning home clearer, steadier, and more alive.

Stay at a Private Oceanfront Villa

For this retreat, our group will have a beautiful private villa on Bali’s peaceful east coast as our home for the week.

Set directly beside the sea, the villa offers seven bedrooms, an 18-meter infinity pool, an outdoor Jacuzzi, tropical gardens, koi ponds, ocean-view patios, and spacious indoor and outdoor areas for eating, resting, and spending time together. Many of the rooms look toward the ocean or gardens, and the sound of the sea is part of the experience. Unlike a hotel retreat, this is a private home shared by a small group. We will be able to settle in, relax, and create our own rhythm without the distraction of a crowded resort. It is a place where you can move from morning practice to breakfast, from the pool to a massage, or from an afternoon session straight into dinner without needing to go anywhere at all.

Deep Morning & Afternoon Practice

Each full retreat day will be anchored by two long Qigong and meditation sessions—approximately 1.5 to 2 hours in the morning and another 1.5 to 2 hours in the afternoon.

The extended sessions give us time to move beyond a quick daily routine and enter a more immersive process. We will explore grounding, opening the body, regulating the nervous system, building internal awareness, circulating energy, and resting in stillness. The practices will unfold progressively over the week, with time for questions, integration, and personal guidance within the group. You do not need to be advanced, flexible, or experienced to participate. The practice will be accessible and adaptable, with an emphasis on listening to your body rather than performing perfect movements. The goal is to create the conditions for something deeper to settle: less noise, more sensation, clearer awareness, and a stronger connection to your own energy and aliveness.

A Simple Daily Rhythm

Retreat life will follow a spacious, nourishing rhythm.

We will begin the day with a long Qigong and meditation practice, then gather for a chef-prepared meal. The middle of the day is yours—to swim, nap, read, journal, work out, book a massage, spend time with the group, or join an optional outing. In the late afternoon, we will come together again for another extended practice before dinner. Some evenings may include informal conversation, quiet reflection, or an optional shorter session depending on the energy of the group. This retreat is not designed to keep you busy from morning to night. It offers enough structure to help you go deep and enough open space to let the practice actually land.

Private-Chef Meals

A private chef will prepare meals for our group throughout the retreat, making food part of the restorative experience rather than another thing to plan.

We will gather around the table for fresh, nourishing meals and have the support of the villa staff throughout our stay. Eating together is one of the quiet pleasures of retreat life: a chance to slow down, share the day, and enjoy being cared for. After registration, we will collect dietary information from each guest and coordinate with the chef as much as possible. If you have significant allergies or medical dietary requirements, please contact us before booking so we can confirm what can be accommodated.

Rest, Swim, Train—or Do Nothing

Between sessions, the villa offers plenty of ways to restore and recharge.

You can swim laps in the infinity pool, soak in the outdoor Jacuzzi, relax in the shade with an ocean view, wander through the tropical gardens, play pool, read, journal, or take a nap. If movement helps you reset, the private gym includes a treadmill, elliptical or stationary cardio equipment, free weights, a weight bench, TRX equipment, and a boxing bag. There is also enough open space to stretch, move, or enjoy a quiet personal practice. You are equally welcome to do absolutely nothing. Spaciousness is part of the retreat.

Massage at the Villa

Affordable in-villa massage can be arranged daily.

You may book treatments during your free time as often as the schedule allows. There is no need to travel to a spa—the therapist comes to the house, so you can move from practice to a massage and then spend the rest of the afternoon by the pool or resting in your room.

Explore Bali

The villa is peaceful and private, while still offering a beautiful base for exploring Bali.

Optional outings may include temples, hikes, cultural sites, local villages, Ubud, snorkeling or diving areas, and other experiences chosen around the interests of the group. Excursions will be optional rather than required. Some guests may want to explore whenever there is free time; others may prefer to stay at the villa for the entire week. Both approaches are welcome. The retreat provides a shared daily rhythm and a beautiful home base while leaving room for your own relationship with Bali to unfold. Transportation, entrance fees, guides, meals away from the villa, and other excursion costs are additional unless specifically stated otherwise.

A Smaller, More Intimate Retreat

This retreat will likely be smaller than Nick’s usual gatherings.

With only seven bedrooms in the villa, space is genuinely limited. The smaller group creates a different kind of experience: more time together, more room for questions, a quieter group dynamic, and a stronger sense of living and practicing as a small community for the week. If this retreat is calling to you, we recommend reserving your place early. Some room types may fill before others.

Room Options

We will offer a limited combination of private and shared accommodations within the villa.

Room layouts include king rooms, a twin configuration, and a bunk room, with most bedrooms offering private ensuite bathrooms and ocean or garden views. Exact room assignments will depend on the package you select, whether you are attending alone or with someone, and the order in which reservations are received. If you plan to share with a partner or friend, or have a strong room preference, please let us know when you register.

Deposit Options

Reserve your place with a non-refundable deposit, then pay the remaining balance by the deadline shown below. Because this is a small retreat with very limited room inventory, a place is not held until payment is received. (1 Room Left With Bunk Bed)

FAQ

  • Is this beginner-friendly?

Yes. The retreat is open to beginners as well as experienced practitioners. Nick teaches with an all-levels approach that aims to meet everyone where they are at in their practice.

  • Can dietary needs be accommodated?

The retreat center is able to support a variety of dietary needs, including vegetarian preferences. After booking, we’ll collect dietary information from each guest and coordinate with the center as much as possible.

  • What is the refund policy?

A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your place. Your deposit secures your spot and allows us to make financial commitments to the villa, staff, and retreat logistics. Because places are extremely limited and we may turn away other guests once your room is held, deposits are not refundable for any reason, including illness, travel disruption, schedule changes, or inability to complete the remaining payment. The remaining balance is due by the deadline listed on this page, and is also non-refundable for the same reasons. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation and interruption.

  • How do I get there?

Most international travelers will fly into I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Bali. The villa is in the Banjarangkan area on Bali’s east coast. Once you are registered, we will send the exact address, recommended arrival window, and detailed transportation guidance.

  • Are airport transfers included?

Airport transfers are not currently included in the retreat price. Shuttle or transfer options may be available for an additional fee, and we’ll share the best arrival options with registered guests once details are confirmed.

  • Can I come alone?

Yes. Many retreat guests come alone. Shared men's or ladies' rooms may be available for solo travelers who want a more affordable option, and private rooms may be available in limited quantities. See room options above for more information.
